Success of the International Educational Technology Competition
Surabaya, 31 May 2023 - The
highly anticipated International Educational Technology Competition was
successfully held at the S1 Educational Technology Study Program, Faculty of
Education, Surabaya State University (UNESA). This competition was held with
the aim of encouraging creativity in the use of technology in the development
of innovative and effective learning media. This event focuses on two different
types of competitions, namely photography competitions and learning media
competitions.
The
photography competition in the context of educational technology invites
participants to express educational messages through the medium of creative
photography. Participants are challenged to capture valuable moments in the
learning process that evoke emotions and photograph technological innovations
implemented in the classroom. It is hoped that their work will promote the
importance of technology in shaping a better educational future.
Meanwhile,
the learning media competition asked participants to develop and present
innovative interactive learning media. Participants are expected to be able to
create interesting and useful multimedia content, such as learning videos,
animations, infographics, or technology-based learning applications. Learning
media developed must combine elements of effective education with the use of
sophisticated technology.
Participants
from various countries enthusiastically participated in this competition by
sending their interesting works. The jury consisting of experienced education
and photography technology experts conducts a rigorous assessment of the works.
Assessment criteria include aspects of creativity, technical skills, relevance
to the theme, and the potential to improve the learning process.
"We
were very impressed with the quality and variety of works submitted by the
participants. Each work has unique value and provides new insights into the use
of technology in education," said Dr. Syaiputra Wahyuda Meisa Diningrat,
M.Pd, one of the competition judges.
In
the end, the winners of the competition were announced with great joy. The
winner of the Photography Contest is Salma Ramadhani Irawan from UNESA
Indonesia, with photography works that capture the joy of student learning
through interactive technology devices. Meanwhile, the winner of the Learning
Media Competition was a team from UNESA, which developed an innovative learning
diorama. The winners receive an award that includes cash and a certificate of a
prestigious international educational technology competition.
Dr. Utari Dewi, S.Sn., M.Pd, Chair of the UNESA FIP Educational Technology Study Program, expressed her satisfaction with the results of this competition. "This competition has made a significant contribution in exploring the potential of educational technology to enhance the learning experience. We hope this competition will spark a spirit of innovation and collaboration in the world of education," he said.
The International
Photography and Learning Media Education Technology Competition at the UNESA
FIP Educational Technology Study Program has become an inspirational platform
for participants to show their creativity and ability to present technological
solutions that advance education in the digital era.
